The i4 technology is revolutionary compared to others in the industry. With todays demand for inverter welders capable of Boron steel repairs and UsiBor, UHSS, EHSS, HSLA, the i4 is more than capable. The Pro Spot I4 not only measures, monitors and automatically adjusts the weld current, it does it on the secondary loop at the tips. By measuring the current on the secondary side of the transformer it leaves no guess work whatsoever. It samples the weld 650 times per cycle or ONE million times per second using the same technology used in the space shuttle and in most satellites. With over 400 pages of OEM repair methods making it easier to repair vehicles without wasting time chasing method information. The AD converter (Analog to Digital) is extremely powerful and allows the i4 to deliver the exact weld current that is set by the operator regardless of outside circumstances such as low voltage supply, large weld nuggets, dirt tips etc. Pro Spot I4 also features adjustable upslope and down slope. Upslope ramps up the current to assure for a smooth current draw and less demand from primary current. The smoother initiation of the weld also decreases the chance of sparking.
The Pro Spot i4's liquid cooling system increases the duty cycle and cools the inverter, transformer, weld gun and other vital components for longer life.
